Research Sector Visits College of Engineering to Enhance the performance of the General Facility laboratories

In a significant step towards advancing research infrastructure, Kuwait University’s Research Sector conducted a visit to the College of Engineering on June 25, 2024. The primary aim of the visit was to explore and identify effective ways to enhance the General Facility laboratories, thereby facilitating smoother operations and ensuring continued success in project outputs.

The Research’s sector team included Acting Vice President of Research, Dr. Bader Al-Tannak, and Assistant Vice President of Finance and Implementation, Dr. Haneen Al-Ghabra. They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Surour Al-Otaibi, the Acting Vice Dean of Research, who provided an informative tour of the college’s facilities and highlighted its notable achievements. 

Dr. Bader Al-Tannak emphasized the importance of this visit, stating, "Our goal is to ensure that the laboratories at the College of Engineering are equipped to support cutting-edge research and innovation. By addressing operational challenges and enhancing our infrastructure, we can pave the way for even greater successes in our research projects."

Dr. Haneen Al-Ghabra added, "Financial and operational efficiency is crucial for the sustainability of our research initiatives. We are committed to implementing strategies that will streamline processes and optimize resources, ensuring that our researchers have the best possible environment to conduct their work."

During the tour, Dr. Surour Al-Otaibi showcased several projects currently underway within the general facilities, emphasizing their success and the impact they have had on the university's research landscape. The visit concluded with a productive discussion on potential improvements and collaborative efforts to further bolster the research capabilities of the College of Engineering.
