The Research Sector Organizes a Google Applications for Academics Workshop

The Office of External Research Collaboration and Consultation at RS organized a workshop entitled "Google Applications for Academics", which was presented by Dr. Hisham Al-Sarhan from the Department of Information Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The workshop was held at the Faculty of Arts - Southern Campus at Sabah Al-Salem University City in Al-Shadadiya on Wednesday, 13 December 2023.  Dr. Al-Sarhan presented the educational applications of Google, which is considered one of the most important companies that provide applications based on the latest technology in the fields of AI and large data processing. Such skills will help faculty members and graduate students to participate in research projects through the development of their abilities in gathering and analyzing data, and sharing findings and reports professionally.

On her part, Dr. Haneen Al-Ghabra, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation explained that the importance of this workshop comes in its effective role to enhance the skills of faculty member and graduate students and develop their potential and capabilities to serve the research process at Kuwait University. This aim is considered the Research Sectors' primary motivation to organize these specialized workshops and making them available for Kuwait University affiliates.
