Prof. Al-Khadher: Research Awards Significantly Reflect High-quality Research at KU

In recognition of their outstanding scientific achievements and exceptional research outputs, the Research Sector presents its annual Distinguished Researcher Award and Best Young Researcher Award for academic faculty members, as well as the Research Excellence Award for graduate students.

Highlighting the importance of the awards, Prof. Othman H. Al-Khadher, Vice President for Research, said that winning one of the research awards is seen as a major achievement in the career of academic faculty members and graduate students, as last year's awards witnessed a fierce competition, reflecting the significance of these incentives offered by the RS to encourage academic faculty members and graduate students pursue innovative and original research.

Awards recipients for the academic year 2023/2024 will be honored at the Third Scientific Conference.

Prof. Al-Khadher further emphasized the need to adhere to the awards regulations available in Chapter Fourteen, Rules & Regulations of the Research Support System 2013, and invited researchers to submit their applications online on the RS website.

Applications are open from 1/10/2023 to 31/10/2023 for the Distinguished Researcher Award and Best Young Researcher Award, and from 15/10/2023 to 13/11/2023 for the Research Excellence Award.
