The RS organized the SPSS Workshop for Scientific Faculties

Under the patronage of Prof. Othman Al-Khudher, Acting Vice President for Research, the External Research Collaboration Office at the Research Sector organized the SPSS Workshop for academic faculty members and graduate students of the scientific faculties. The workshop, held on Wednesday 7/3/2023 at the College of Science in Sabah Al-Salem University City- Shadadiya, was conducted by Prof. Shafiqa Alawadhi, from the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, College of Science- Kuwait University.

Prof. Shafiqa Alawadhi stated that applications of inductive statistics methods clearly reflect statistical science prevalence. She further explained that the workshop aims at achieving participants’ deeper understanding of statistical principles as well as providing them with the available and required statistical information that assists in dealing with data and experiments. The workshop also enables participants to study the applicability of results to society and answers their questions in relation to their respective areas of study. These principles will be applied in practice through SPSS.

Meanwhile, Dr. Haneen Al-Ghabra, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultations, said that the workshop marks RS consistent efforts towards developing research capabilities and competence of academic faculty members and graduate students. She indicated that the RS registers an annual growing interest in SPSS workshops given their importance in meeting the diverse requirements of scientific research. Hence, the RS continues to provide such workshops in order to encourage faculty members and graduate students to conduct further research that would contribute to elevating Kuwait University ranking.
