A Delegation from Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) Visits Kuwait University (KU) to Discuss Scientific Research Collaboration between both Institutions

A delegation from Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) visited the Office of Vice President for Research at Kuwait University (KU) on Sunday 25 December 2022 as a continuation to coordinate administrative, technical and financial matters according to the agreement signed between both parties on 19 December 2012. This agreement aims to establish research cooperation between KU and KFAS in the fields of supporting science and technology related to the development of the State of Kuwait and supporting scientific, basic and applied research projects in various fields, as well as reviewing the projects funded by KFAS in order to overcome the difficulties faced by researchers.

KU delegation included Acting Vice President for Research Prof. Otham Al-Khuder, Assistant Vice President for Research Analysis and Development, Prof. Noriah Al-Kandari, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation, Dr. Haneen Al-Ghabra, and Assistant Vice President for Research Finance and Implementation, Dr. Abdullah Sultan. As for the delegation from KFAS, it included Head of Research Administration Dr. Mohammad Ramadhan, Head of Research Grants Program Dr. Maitham Safar, and Head of Research Support Office Eng. Khalid Al-Awadhi.

The meeting addressed several aspects of joint scientific and research collaboration between both institutions. Prof. Othman Al-Khuder emphasized the continuous efforts dedicated by Kuwait University to overcome the challenges which hinder the fruitful research collaboration with the prestigious institution.
