RS organized the 2020/2021 Poster Day Event for Scientific and Humanities Faculties

RS records faculties joint display of latest research activity

Under the patronage of the Acting President of Kuwait University, Prof. Fayez Al-Dhafiri and Vice President for Research, Prof. Rashid Al-Anezi, the Research Sector organized the 2020/2021 Scientific Poster Day event for scientific and humanities faculties as well as researchers from Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). This year’s event witnessed the first time participation of Health Sciences Center (HSC) faculties.

The event was held on March 21st 2021, while and the participating posters were showcased virtually through a unified link. The displayed posters, addressing wide ranging topics of contemporary scientific, national and social significance, reflected the research momentum and interests of a dynamic community of faculty researchers.  The participating humanities posters were distributed over the faculties of Arts (8), Business Administration (14), Education (24), Law (17), Sharia & Islamic Studies (6), and Social Sciences (11). On the other hand, the scientific faculties registered the participation of faculties of Science (49), Engineering & Petroleum (24), Life Sciences (19) and Architecture (1), as well as the HSC faculties of Medicine (12), Pharmacy (3), Allied Health Sciences (14) and Public Health (1), whereas KISR participated with (20) posters.

The annual event, primarily aimed at bringing together faculties in joint display of their latest research activity at the posters platform, marked RS ambitious drive to promote scientific coordination and interdisciplinary research across faculties, by providing a befitting opportunity to researchers for interactive dialogue and sharing of interests, as nurturing grounds for developing new ideas and concepts for advanced and innovative research that leads to enhanced research quality.

All displayed posters were evaluated by an experts committee especially constituted for identifying posters that exhibit excellence in content, methodology, presentation and research outcomes, and short-listing award-winning best posters in the categories of faculty members, teaching assistants, and graduate students.
