RS organizes a workshop entitled: “Scientific Writing Methods“ For Humanities Faculties

Under the patronage of Prof.Rashid Al-Anezi, Vice President for Research, the Research Sector, Office of External Research Collaboration & Consultation, organized a workshop entitled: “Scientific Writing Methods” to the faculty members and graduate students of Humanities Faculties in Kuwait University, on Sunday, December 9, 2020, through Teams. The workshop was presented by Dr. Sultan Al-Daihani, assistant professor at the department of administration and educational planning, Faculty of Education – Kuwait University.

The workshop dealt with several aspects of interest to researchers regarding the preparation and publication of scientific papers, as it aimed to define the concept of scientific research and its ethics, and to know the elements and foundations that organize the process of preparing it in the correct manner. Dr. Al-Daihani spoke about approved databases and their standards for scientific publishing, mentioning the acclaimed sites that help publish scientific research globally, as well as detailing the reasons for international journals rejecting to publish some research, and some advice and recommendations to avoid it.

This workshop comes within the framework of Research Sector’s endeavor to develop the capabilities of faculty members and graduate students in Humanities Faculties, and enhance their scientific and research skills, so that they produce scientific research of high value and quality, which finds its place for publication in the internationally renowned refereed scientific journals.
