Office of External Research Collaboration & Consultation organizes a workshop in collaboration with Oxentia

As a new step of its continuous journey to enhance research commercialization, the Patent Office of OVPR organized a workshop entitled “ Engaging Researchers in the Commercialization of Research “ on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the new premises of the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum, Shadadiya campus.

The workshop was presented by a specialized team from Oxentia, Oxford’s Global Innovation Consultancy, and consisted of  Dr. Lauren Sosdian, consultant, and Mr. Pete Moores, Commercial Director in Oxentia. The workshop aimed at engaging the researchers and students who attended from all faculties across KU in the importance and significance of research commercialization, where scientific research is turned into value-added products and services. The workshop also explained the benefits of commercialization to the researchers, KU, and the State of Kuwait.

At the end of the workshop, Prof. Laila Marouf, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration & Consultation, honored Dr. Sosdian and Mr. Moores for their efforts in making the workshop a success. Prof. Marouf also honored Prof. Raed Bourisli, Acting Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Petroleum, for hosting the workshop.
