OVPR Receives a Delegation from Arab Planning Institute

Within its framework to enhance research collaboration and build bridges of scientific and research partnerships with research institutions and centers locally and internationally, the Office of the Vice President for Research received a delegation from Arab Planning Institute comprising a group of trainees, within the training program organized by the institute under the title “Professional Research Fellowship In the Field of Social Responsibility” in collaboration with the Regional Network of Social Responsibility.

The visit was held on Wednesday, 4 December 2019, where the delegation was welcomed Prof. Haider Behbehani, Assistant Vice President for Research Analysis and Development, and Prof. Laila Marouf, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation.

The meeting was initiated by Prof. Haider Behbehani who welcomed the delegation from Arab Planning Institute, thanking them for their visit and interest in learning about the programs and activities of the Office of the Vice President for Research and its centers and units. Representatives from the Academic Publication Council – one of OVPR centers - then gave an integrated presentation of APC specialties, fields of publication, and the services provided for researchers, in addition to the scientific journals issued by APC and the extent to which researchers benefit from them. Assistant Vice Presidents, each in his own field, also spoke about all efforts dedicated to elevate scientific research at Kuwait University through encouraging researchers and providing them with the infrastructure, diverse services and incentives to achieve scientific competitiveness which contributes to elevate Kuwait University’s global image and presence.
