RS Organizes a Workshop Entitled “Journey into Methods of Social Sciences Research” for Humanities Faculties

Within the framework of its mission to benefit researchers at Kuwait University, the Office of External Research Collaboration and Consultation at RS organized a workshop entitled “Journey into Methods of Social Sciences Research” for humanities faculties at Kuwait University. The workshop was presented by Dr. Aisha Al-Azmi from the Department of Educational Planning and Administration at the faculty of Education, and was held on Wednesday, 23 October, 2019 at the Institutional Innovation Hall- University Administration Building – Khaldiya Campus.

Through the workshop, Dr. Al-Azmi presented the various methods to design quantitative and qualitative research while reviewing examples of each design, in addition to discussing the philosophical perspective of those research designs, while focusing on key aspects such as the scientific method of academic writing, citing references, and all that is related to publication and scientific conferences. Dr. Al-Azmi affirmed that the contents of the workshop will benefit faculty members and graduate students from humanities faculties and all those interested in scientific research.

On this occasion, Prof. Laila Marouf, Assistant Vice President of External Research Collaboration and Consultation, explained that RS at Kuwait University carries the responsibility of supporting scientific research and providing facilities the researchers require to accomplish advanced and innovative research. The role of The Office of External Research Collaboration and Consultation at RS is embodied in this context through the organization of diverse workshops that benefit researchers and develop their scientific and research abilities. The knowledge of scientific research methods comes at the top of priorities that enable the researchers to accomplish sound scientific and research results.

At the end of the workshop, Prof. Laila Marouf honored Dr. Aisha Al-Azmi with an honorary shield in gratitude for her efforts in making this workshop a success and benefiting the audience.
