A US Delegation Visits Kuwait University

Within the framework of enhancing Kuwait University's status through communication and exchange of expertise with Arab and international universities, a delegation from the Colorado School of Mines, represented by Prof. Jennifer Miskimins, Executive Director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and Ms. Jackie Hoffmann, SPE Middle East and North Africa, visited Kuwait University.

The delegation was received by Dr. Bader Al-Rajhi, Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University, Prof. Abdullah Sultan, Vice President for Research, Dr. Mabkhout Al-Dousari, Assistant Vice President for Research External Collaboration and Consultation; Dr. Majed Majeed, Assistant Vice President for Planning University Sites, Dr. Mishal Al-Gharib, Department Head of Petroleum Engineering, Prof. Essa Al-Safran and Dr. Mohammad Al-Abdullah of the Petroleum Engineering Department.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on research issues and review potential research cooperation between Kuwait University and US universities. The meeting also served as a prelude to a memorandum of understanding between Kuwait University and american universities as well as student exchange and research and scientific collaboration.
