Under the patronage of Prof. Abdullah Jawad Sultan, Vice President for Research, the Office of External Research Collaboration and Consultation at the Research Sector organized a "Data Analysis Using R System" workshop on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The workshop presented by Dr. Hussein Behbehani, Department of Biological Sciences, College of Science, was designed for KU faculty and graduate students. The session covered key aspects of the R system, including its core components, data visualization, statistical analysis, and the creation of charts and graphs. 

Dr. Behbehani emphasized R's significance as a powerful tool for analyzing diverse datasets across scientific fields. He stated that the workshop is intended to equip participants with foundational data processing skills, enabling them to pursue more advanced data analysis. The workshop provides KU researchers with the skills needed to produce high-impact research publishable in top peer-reviewed journals.

The event is a key initiative under the Research Sector's strategy to achieve Kuwait Vision 2035 by advancing the transition to a knowledge-based economy. It provides researchers with advanced data analysis tools for evidence-based decision-making, fostering innovation and developing national expertise in data science in line with the 'Creative Human Capital' pillar.
