The Office of External Research Collaboration and Consultation at the Research Sector organized a workshop titled "Methods of Applying Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Research." The event, held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, was intended for KU's academic faculty members and graduate students and presented by Dr. Reem Al-Baghli of the Computer Engineering Department, College of Engineering and Petroleum.
The workshop aimed to enable KU's researchers from various disciplines to learn about practical and simplified methods of utilizing artificial intelligence tools in the fields of scientific research and teaching. It trained them on applications capable of improving the quality of research output and designing more interactive educational content. The session also included an introduction to the concept of artificial intelligence and its most prominent applications in academia.
The workshop addressed several key areas, including AI tools for analyzing texts and scientific references, methods of employing AI in developing educational activities and content, and the ethical guidelines for the use of AI in education and research.
This initiative aligns with the Research Sector's commitment to supporting Kuwait Vision 2035 by fostering innovation, elevating educational standards, improving scientific research efficiency, and contributing to a sustainable digital framework for education and research, advancing the country's digital transformation.
The event concluded with honoring Dr. Al-Baghli in recognition of her valuable contribution to the success of the workshop.
