The Office of External Research Collaboration and Consultation at the Research Sector organized a workshop on "Applied Statistical Analysis Using R for Health and Life Sciences". The workshop held on Wednesday 9/10/2024 in Sabah Al-Salem University City – Shadadiya, was presented by Dr. Mohammad Al-Khamees, Assistant Professor at Kuwait University.

Dr. Al-Khamees shared his experience in this field introducing the simple features of R and R-Studio program, while reviewing some concepts in statistical methods and designing studies related to health, biological, and life sciences. The workshop also addressed other several topics like designing and coding statistical analyses, making numerical and visual summaries, measuring theories, comparing groups such as chi-square test, t-test, and ANOVAs, and reading and interpreting statistical results from the R program.

Prof. Noriya Al-Kandari, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation, honored Dr. Mohammad Al-Khamees in recognition of his efforts in preparing and presenting this workshop benefitting the academic community.
