Achieving a distinct success added to Kuwait University's remarkable record of accomplishments, Researchers at Kuwait University obtained several prestigious international awards at the 14th International Invention Fair in the Middle East "IIFME", recently organized by Kuwait Science Club in collaboration with International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. Kuwait University, represented by the Patents and Intellectual Property Rights Office at the Research Sector, took part in the event which is deemed to be the second largest international inventions fair as per international classification.
An elite of KU's researchers with registered patents at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office participated in the exhibition, including:
Prof. Bader Shafaqa Al-Enezi, Department of Environmental Technology Management, College of Life Sciences
Gold Medal with honors and the Panda Medal from the Chinese Association of Inventions for his patent: "Apparatus for Measuring Distrainment Rate of Air"
Dr. Fawaz Al-Zubi, Department of General Dentistry, College of Dentistry
Gold Medal for his invention "A technique to Replicate Soft Tissue Anatomy Using a Multi-purpose Resin Printed Prototype for Implant Supported Fixed Prostheses"
Dr. Nawaf Al-Juwaihel, Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering and Petroleum, as a Co-I at Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) in Nanofluid technology jointly with KISR's researchers: Dr. Haya Al-Sayegh and Dr. Hussain Bahzad
