Dr. Abdullatif Al-Rashdan, Assistant Vice President for Research Funding and Implementation, represented Kuwait University at the second "My Day Without Plastic" campaign hosted by the Environment and Life Sciences Research Center at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). The event was held under the patronage of Dr. Faisal Al-Humaidan, KISR General Director, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at KISR headquarters.

Dr. Al-Rashdan highlighted the campaign as a key community partnership for advancing environmental sustainability, building upon the success of the first edition launched in 2019. 

He further stressed the importance of collaborative efforts and sustained scientific research aimed at safeguarding our environment for future generations, emphasizing the pivotal role of research institutions in fostering eco-conscious practices.
The campaign aims to elevate public awareness, promote biodegradable alternatives, and mitigate the adverse effects of plastic pollution on health and the environment.
