The Research Sector at Kuwait University recently hosted Mr. Joshua Goldberg, Co-Managing Partner at Nath, Goldberg & Meyer, a leading intellectual property law firm in the United States.

The visit is part of KU's efforts to enhance international cooperation in the field of intellectual property rights protection and patent registration. Represented by Mr. Goldberg, the firm oversees the registration of KU's patents at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Mr. Goldberg was received by Dr. Haneen Al-Ghabra, Acting Assistant Vice President for Research External Collaboration & Consultation, and Dr. Naser Al-Tannak, Assistant Vice President for Research Analysis and Development. The meeting featured constructive discussions on enhancing mechanisms for improving KU's patent registration strategies and the associated challenges in addition to identifying ways to strengthen cooperation in this vital field. The visit reflects KU's commitment to promote scientific research innovation and enhance its global presence by protecting and registering its research outputs internationally.
