The Research Sector's Office of External Research Cooperation and Consultations successfully hosted an engaging workshop on "Statistical Analysis and Data Collection Using SPSS" bringing together KU's faculty members and graduate students. The event, held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, was presented by Prof. Shafeeqa Al-Awadi from the Department of Statistics and Operations Research in the College of Science.

This initiative is a core part of the Research Sector's ongoing mission to foster a vibrant research culture and strengthen the scientific capabilities of KU's community.

Prof. Al-Awadi highlighted the critical role of inferential statistics in contemporary research. "This course was designed to strengthen foundational knowledge of statistical principles and provide hands-on skills for managing real-world data and experiments," she stated. Participants learned to generalize findings and answer research questions specific to their fields through practical application of the SPSS software.

The session concluded with an official recognition of Prof. Al-Awadi for delivering such a successful and impactful workshop.
