A British Delegation Visits the Office of Vice President for Research

As part of the efforts aimed at strengthening the position of Kuwait University through communication and exchange of experiences with Arab and international universities, the administrative staff at the Research Sector, headed by Prof. Othman Al-Khudir, Acting Vice President for Research, along with his assistants Prof. Noriah Al-Kandari, Assistant Vice President for Research Analysis and Development, and Dr. Haneen Al-Ghabra, Assistant Vice President for External Research Collaboration and Consultation, received on Wednesday 16th of October 2023 a delegation for the British University College London, consisting of Prof. Richard Freeman, Director of the Center for Doctoral Education and Vice-President of UCL, Dr. Amelia Roberts, Deputy Director of UCL center for Inclusive Education and Vice Dean of the Institute of Education at UCL. And Dr. Zachary Walker, Head of the Department of Psychology and Human Development at UCL – Institute of Education. Accompanied by a delegation from the Faculty of Education, which included Dr. Fahad Al-Shammari. Acting Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Graduate Students Affairs, and Dr. Ghazi Al-Rashidid, Faculty Member at the Department of Educational Fundamentals.

This visit provided the opportunity to exchange view on ways to improve the status of scientific research by encouraging researchers and providing capabilities and infrastructure for scientific research, in addition to building the research capabilities of the academic staff members. The possibility of coordination and scientific cooperation between the two institutions in relevant research fields of common interest was also discussed.

It is worth noting that University College London holds the first place in the raking of universities and was founded in 1826 in the heart of the British capital, London. Its approach is based on research, education, innovation, creating knowledge and sharing it, as well as reaching methods to resolve the various global problems.
